The Penistone Hill Race is a multi-terrain race, run in support of Sporting Penistone, the charity that runs Penistone Leisure Centre. It is a tough race on tarmac, trails and paths, with hills and stunning views of the Penistone area. It has not been decided yet whether the club will organise this race for 2023/24.

Entry

Online entry will be available closer to the time if the race is organised.

Pre-entry fees: £10 for EA affiliated runners and £12 for non-EA members. Entry on the day: £12 for EA affiliated runners and £14 for non-EA members.

The race will be run under UK Athletics rules of competition (Trail Running Association permit tbc). Minimum age to enter is 17 on the day of the race.

Registration

Registration from 9:00am at Penistone Leisure Centre, Thurlstone Road, S36 9EF (Grid Ref SE241037) – allow 10 minutes to walk to the start on Penistone Showground (behind Tesco).  Parking, changing rooms, showers, hot food available.

The 2020 race was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No race was organised in 2022.
